“it will be a great day when schools get all the money they need
and the airforce has to hold a bake sale to buy a bomber.”
calling on the intertwined nostalgia and futility of bake sales, i asked participants to write or draw something that they are excited for about the future. in exchange i gave them a homemade baked good. no money was accepted.
people were excited about summer, robots, the growth of their children and their gardens, the death of dick cheney, and kissing.
